The Agri-Food Futures Fund is a $22.8 million joint federal/ provincial program established in 2001 as part of the Canada – British Columbia Framework Agreement on Agricultural Risk Management. Funding aims to:

Strengthen agri-food organizations and give rural communities more power to shape their futures |

Accelerate the pace of innovation across the agri-food sector, facilitating adoption of new technology and development of new market opportunities, and continue to promote a strategic approach in all areas |

Facilitate a self-sustaining agri-food sector which leads, directs and finances its own industry development |

Secure the future of the agri-food sector in British Columbia |
The Foundation is the trustee of the fund. Funding has been set aside for 15 unique and emerging sector initiatives. Some initiatives are delivered and administered by industry groups, whose expertise about the sector they represent aids in promoting the initiative and communicating results. Others are administered directly by the Foundation. For specific information about each initiative, click on the links below.
