Safety Net Companion Program
Between 1997 and 1999, the Foundation received $21.8 million in Safety Net Companion Program funding from the federal government for initiatives consistent with the guidelines for CARD program funding. This fund was intended to foster agri-food industry growth, competitiveness and sustainability. Although the Safety Net Companion Program has officially wrapped up, IAF continues to invest residual funds from this program in industry projects. These funds are accessed through our normal application process.
