This initiative was designed to foster growth of the health product and functional food industry in BC. It serves a broad collection of industries and economic activities that includes growers, wildcrafters, harvesters, processors and service providers active in the farm, marine and rangeland sectors. Collectively they produce raw, intermediate and final use plant and animal products such as botanicals, natural health products, nutraceuticals, functional foods and related products and services.
This initiative is fully committed. Funding for health product and functional food projects will now be processed through our Small Projects Program or regular funding programs.
