Local Government Agricultural Planning Program Evaluation
IAF's Local Government Agricultural Area Planning Program was created in 1999. To determine the effectiveness of the program, in 2010 IAF commissioned an independent evaluation of the program that examined the method of delivery, the quality of implementation and the outcomes of the plans. University of Northern British Columbia associate professor David Connell led the evaluation, reviewing 16 completed plans and interviewing 34 program participants.

Ipsos Reid Public Opinion Poll
In 2008, IAF commissioned Ipsos Reid to conduct a "Poll of Public Opinions Toward Agriculture, Food and Agri-Food in BC."
The purpose of the poll was to provide industry with information about the public’s awareness of issues affecting the industry and to gauge the level of support for agriculture and agri-food across the province.

Focus on the Future
The agriculture and agri-food industry in BC is undergoing a period of unprecedented change. How well we react to these changes will determine industry’s success in the future. With this in mind, Investment Agriculture Foundation, the BC Agriculture Council, the BC Food Processors Association and other organizations came together to commission the Focus on the Future project.
This industry-driven project wrapped up in spring 2006. The final report identifies issues important to the industry’s long-term profitability as well as five key issues and opportunities to be addressed in the short term:

Flowing out the Focus on the Future initiative, the BC Ministry of Agriculture provided us with $45,000 in 2006 to conduct a branding study. A steering committee has been established to oversee this project.
